For 109 years old, you look great!
It was April 12, 1912, that a future iconic Boston landmark was born. It was opening of Fenway Park. There is not enough room on the internet to share the vast history of Fenway. It is the oldest park in the country, with Wrigley Field in Chicago coming in at number two.
One of most favorite Red Sox experiences at Fenway was July 9, 2008 against the Twins. I took my kids, Matt and Jordan. It was a boiling hot summer day, so hot, we were buying bottles of water to dump on our heads, to keep us cool. But the game was even hotter, as the Sox pummeled the Twins with an 18 to 5 win!! We never sat down!
I’ll never forget that day. To share it with my kids, was even better.
