Massachusetts Native Could Be First Woman to Walk on the Moon
Massachusetts native, Stephanie Wilson, made history in 2006 when she became the second African American woman to go into space, according to NBC 10 Boston. She was a part of the Space Shuttle Discovery crew on a 13-day flight.
In 2024, NASA aims to land the first woman and the next man on the Moon with the Artemis Plan. Wilson, a Boston-born NASA astronaut, is a part of that program. In just a few short years, she could become the first woman to walk on the moon.
