Holiday season mixed with a pandemic is ripe for fraud.
Amazon Prime wants everyone to be aware of a robocall scam.
People are receiving a recorded call, supposedly from Amazon stating there is a pending charge of $799, according to the Detroit Free Press.
The call then directs you to hit 1 or another key to continue.
That’s when you will be directed to a site that looks like Amazon and directed to put your personal information.
The Federal Trade Commission said consumers can report fraud whether they have lost money or not to ReportFraud.ftc.gov
