Dont’a Hightower, Marcus Cannon, Brandon Bolden & More Opt Out of 2020 NFL Season
The New England Patriots were dealt a huge blow on Tuesday morning as Adam Schefter announced that Pro-Bowl ILB Dont’a Hightower joined OL Marcus Cannon as the latest players to opt out of the 2020 NFL season. Also reported is that RB Brandon Bolden plans to opt out as well. Previously FB Danny Vitale and OL Najee Toren had announced their intentions to opt out of the season.
Hightower is scheduled to make $8 million in base salary and just had a baby on July 16.
Dont’a Hightower now becomes the fourth Patriot to opt out of 2020, joining OT Marcus Cannon, FB Danny Vitale and OL Najee Toran. https://t.co/NzfDCxgXEh
