Graduation Commencement 2020 – Wear Sunscreen #ClassOf2020

To the graduates of 2020: You’re missing out on a lot. Especially the pomp and circumstance of a graduation ceremony and those inspiring (sometimes long) commencement addresses.

Here’s one from 1999. It was written by Chicago Tribune columnist Mary Schmich in 1997. (No, Kurt Vonnegut didn’t write it. Check Snopes).

Most of us, alas, will never be invited to sow our words of wisdom among an audience of caps and gowns, but there's no reason we can't entertain ourselves [...]

Her advice holds true, now more than ever.

Congratulations, graduates. You deserve all the accolades. And, yes, wear sunscreen.
