My Time on the “Friends” Warner Studio Lot
It’s official….
How long have you waited? Fifteen years, nine months?
Coming this May, reports say the Friends cast will reunite for an unscripted reunion where it all started, on the Warner Lot in Burbank. It will appear on the new streaming service HBO-MAX. We don’t know what unscripted means….will they be in character like Curb Your Enthusiasm?
Back in the 90’s I was on a trip to Burbank to meet a friend who worked for Warner Brothers Records. We ate lunch at the famous Warner Brothers Lot Commissary, where you may see a star eating during a break between shots. I didn’t see a star BUT, we walked by the actual Friends sound-stage WHILE the show was filming! It was a closed set, with the flashing red light ON. I did notice the cars of the “Friends” cast in their personally marked parking spots. Matt LeBlanc and Matt Perry had Porches, Courtney Cox and Jennifer Aniston had suv’s. That was cool to see!
