I’m sure you’ve heard a lot of opinions about Sunday’s halftime performance at the Super Bowl. Maybe you even have an opinion of your own.

While their music might not be my thing, there’s no denying Jennifer Lopez and Shakira ooze talent and charisma. They’re also undeniably beautiful women who are comfortable in their bodies.

I love when women are successful in whatever their chosen field. It shows other women what’s possible.

I also love when a woman owns her sexuality. I love seeing men do the same (see: Robert Plant, Mick Jagger, good effort Adam Levine).

A couple of things I want to mention in conjunction with this:

The double standard for men and women and sexuality.

And, do women adopt a male’s idea of what’s ‘sexy’?

That said, there are quite a few artists who’ve never played a halftime show and I’m wondering why?

Led Zeppelin, Bruce Springsteen Covered During Super Bowl Show

Snippets of Led Zeppelin's "Kashmir" and Bruce Springsteen's "Born in the U.S.A." were performed during the halftime show of last night's Super Bowl, held at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, Fla. An eight-second bit of the riff from "Kashmir" was used by Shakira as a transition between "Empire" and "Chantaje."
