The Go-Go’s are back and are hitting the road in the United States this summer in honor of their new Showtime documentary aptly titled The Go-Go’s.

The 11-date tour kicks off June 25 in San Diego, Calif. and wraps July 13 in Costa Mesa, Calif. Tickets are on sale now with complete show details available at

The band’s upcoming documentary has been a long time coming, and it recently screened at the Sundance Film Festival. Unlike the band’s infamous VH1 Behind the Music special, the documentary isn’t all about the debauchery of the band. In an interview with Variety, guitarist Jan Wiedlin said, “I was really happy that [director] Alison [Ellwood] focused a lot on the fun we had, and the camaraderie and the love and the milestones and not just the salacious stuff, because we’ve already been through one salacious thing with VH1. But there’s so much more to us than just ‘Oh, America’s sweethearts!’ or ‘Oh, they’re drug-crazed demons.’ You know, we’re humans and we’re in-between that. So I feel like Alison really showed that.”

A Showtime premiere date for The Go-Go’s has yet to be announced.
