There was a voluntary recall on Cheese Nips after a presence of plastic pieces from a food scraper was discovered in some boxes. Per CNN,  Cheese Nips’s parent company, Mondelēz Global LLC, noticed the problem when “yellow plastic pieces were noticed on the manufacturing equipment.”

Cheese Nips that can be affected are the 11-ounce boxes. They have “best by” dates of May 18, 19, or 20 of 2020.

The announcement of the recall has — of course — led to hilarious commentary on Twitter. Some people are just cracking jokes about the recall in general, while some are having a Cheese Nips vs. Cheez-it battle.
