Alex Trebek’s PSA For World Pancreatic Cancer Day: ‘I Wish I Had Known Sooner’
Alex Trebek recently did a PSA for World Pancreatic Cancer Day. In the PSA, the TV host gets candid about his own struggles and gives valuable information about the disease.
Alex points out that in nearly every country, Pancreatic cancer is the only major cancer with a five-year survival rate in the single digits.
He also says, “I wish I had known sooner that the persistent stomach pain I experienced prior to my diagnosis was a symptom of pancreatic cancer. Other common symptoms can include mid-back pain, unexplained weight loss, new-onset diabetes, and the yellowing of the skin or eyes.”
Watch the PSA below.
World Pancreatic Cancer Day is November 21.
