I know Mike Campbell and Tom Petty grew up in the same general area, co-founded the Heartbreakers and made music together for a very long time and I’ve heard Mike’s speaking voice. He and Tom have the same cadence and vernacular. In other words, their speaking style is very similar but wow….listen to Mike Campbell‘s singing voice. Sound familiar?!
