His name is Elijah Hewson, he’s 19, he’s Bono‘s musician kid and he and his band just got a record deal.

Here’s what he says about the probability of his dad’s name possibly giving them a leg up :

 “We’ve known that there’s going to be doors open” … “but those doors will shut just as fast as they open if we’re not good”.

Elijah Hewson, son of U2 frontman Bono, has started carving out his own name in the musical hall of fame. The 19-year-old, along with bandmates Robert Keating, Ryan McMahon and Josh Jenkinson, make up Dublin-based Rock band Inhaler. They have recently announced that they will be signing with Polydor Records, which is a part of Universal Music Group.
