Fleetwood Mac’s intra-band antics kept rock writers pretty busy over the Hall of Famers’ career, but at least one member feels that drama was a mistake.

Speaking to The Sun, Mick Fleetwood admits, “We were too open about who we were and what we were doing – probably very naive. All anyone ever asked about was, ‘Who is sleeping with who?’ or ‘Who is angry with who?’ And you start to feel it’s a shame.”

According to the drummer, all that press back in the day was a distraction from what they do best. Thankfully, that’s changed.

“Now they intelligently talk about what we did musically. That’s important to us. We never wanted to make fools of ourselves too many times,” says Fleetwood.
