You know how Bill Murray has infamously crashed a number of events, including a bachelor party? David Lee Roth tried to do the same, but he didn’t get the same result.

Roth was in Las Vegas when someone in his crew heard a neighboring hotel room playing some Van Halen. What does DLR decide to do? Knock on the hotel room door and surprise what ended up being a bachelor party in progress.

This is all rather cool, but there’s one problem: No one at that bachelor party, despite playing some Van Halen, seemed to know who Dave was or were too¬†loaded to realize it.

Watch the video below of the exchange and judge for yourself. I can’t speak for everyone, but if I had a knock on my hotel room door and opened it up to see Diamond Dave on the other side, I would’ve freaked out.
