You can put your brooms back in the closet. St. Louis rebounded from their 4-2 game one loss to the Bruins at the Garden, with a bruising attack on the B’s, winning 3-2 in overtime!
Bruins lead twice in the first period 1-0 and 2-1 and the game was tied 2-2 after 20 minutes. From that point on the bigger Blues used a hard hitting and forechecking assault that had the Bruins back on their heels. B’s lost defenseman Matt Grzelcyk to a head injury after he was slammed into the boards from behind by the Blues’ Oscar Sundqvist and had to be taken to the hospital. B’s played the remaining 42 minutes with five defensemen.
The series is tied at 1-1. Game three is Saturday night in St. Louis! Puck drops at 8!
