The Bruins quest for the Stanley Cup continues tonight as they begin the second round of the playoffs hosting the white hot Columbus Blue Jackets. The Red Sox lost both ends of their doubleheader Tuesday against the Tigers. No worries. They scored 7 runs in the 8th inning and went on to beat Detroit 11-4 last night at Fenway.
The defending champion Washington Capitals lost to Carolina 4-3 in double overtime in game seven, last night. The Bruins open their second round playoff series tonight against Columbus at the TD Garden. To win the cup, they won’t have to face Tampa Bay, Calgary or Washington.
