It was a Toronto themed night of sports in Boston last night and it turned out to be a so-so evening. The Red Sox rallied from a 5-0 deficit to come back and beat the Blue Jays 7-6, scoring twice in the bottom of the 9th to win it. The Bruins got walked all over by the visiting Maple Leafs, 4-1, in game one of their playoff opener at the Garden.
Sox trailed 5-0, but never gave up. Mitch Moreland doubled home the tying run in the bottom of the 9th, then Rafael Devers singled home the winning run for the walk off win.
The Bruins jumped out to 1-0 lead against Toronto, then proceeded to give up two shorthanded goals and a penalty shot goal, in a disappointing 4-1 loss.
