Just when you think Woody, Buzz and all of Andy’s (now Bonnie’s) toys were all through with big adventures, Pixar comes along with a new story that will undoubtedly add even more dimension to the Toy Story franchise.
Toy Story 4 finds Woody and the gang adjusting to life with their new kid, Bonnie, and the new toy she made at school, Forky. However, things take a turn when Bonnie and her family go on a road trip that reunites Woody with Bo Peep and opens his eyes to a whole new world.
Pixar, ever the ones to tug at the heartstrings, leaves viewers with this thought, “On the road of life there are old friends, new friends, and stories that change you.” Add the trailer’s soundtrack of the Beach Boys’ “God Only Knows,” and I’m already reaching for the tissues.
Toy Story 4 opens in theaters June 21.
