After news surfaced that Bon Jovi had begun working on a new studio album, some additional details on the album have now come out.

Jon Bon Jovi recently spoke with Russia’s TASS to promote the band’s May 31 show in Moscow and said he has 23 new song ideas right now.

“It is just a collection of songs but I am very happy with what I have,” said Bon Jovi. “So now, the question is putting them up and seeing what they are. Right now, they are on my phone. I sing them in the phone. That’s it, it’s just bad recordings on my phone.”

Bon Jovi also shared the new album “won’t be done” by June, so fans shouldn’t expect any live previews of new tracks.

JBJ shared a brief video earlier this month of the band tuning up before turning his cell phone to himself to say, “Day one, song one, new record, see ya!”

The video was captured and shared by the Twitter account @JoviUpdates and can be seen below.
