The conventional thinking from the experts heading into this past weekend’s NFL wild card playoff games was that the Patriots would be best served playing the Houston Texans! That isn’t happening!
The Texans lost to the Colts, so that meant that the Patriots would play the winner of the Ravens-Chargers game. Ladies and Gentlemen, the Los Angeles Chargers, they of the 12-4 record, are coming to Gillette Stadium next Sunday at 1 pm, after they beat Baltimore 23-17.
The Chargers had to play wildcard weekend, despite having a better record than the 11-5 Patriots, who got a first round bye. The Chargers finished 12-4, tied with the Chiefs in the AFC West, but Kansas City won the division.
