RIP Joe Stapleton. A Local Traffic Reporter We All Know And Love
If you’ve lived in the Boston area for any amount of time in the past, oh, 30 plus years, you’ve no doubt heard Joe Stapleton covering the nightmare that is Boston traffic.
Though we’d never worked together, Boston broadcasting is a tight knit community and I had the pleasure of meeting Joe a couple of times over the years (one time on a ‘traffic cruise’ around the harbor!). I found him to be kind and funny.
You may be surprised to learn that not only have you heard Joe on your radio, you’ve likely seen him in many movies as he was also an actor.
