Even though the gas line explosions aren’t leading the evening newscasts anymore, many of the people in the Merrimack Valley are still living without heat and hot water.

I’m sure the gas company is working as quickly, safely and efficiently as they can to restore service.

We’ve had a lot of rain, colder temperatures and now snow. The date effected residents of Andover, North Andover and Lawrence are told they’ll have heat and hot water is December 16.

In the meantime people’s lives have been upended. Some are temporarily living in trailers, cooking on hotplates, showering in cold water and heating their place with portable space heaters.

Thanksgiving is less than a week away.

This woman is doing something about it. Help her out if you can. There’s a ‘go fund me’ link included at the end of this story.

Introducing: MA DUKE!

DANVERS - Hundreds of Lawrence residents impacted by the September gas explosions will have Thanksgiving meals this holiday season, thanks to local volunteers.
