Are you there God? It's me, Lauren. THANK YOU for the miracle that is this: "Are You There God, It's Me, Margaret" is BEING MADE INTO A MOVIE.

And my 4th grade self is beyond excited.

"In the nearly 50 years since she wrote her groundbreaking book “Are You There God? It’s Me, Margaret,” Judy Blume has turned down overtures to turn her seminal novel into a film. Finally, she has said yes," according to Page Six. "Blume has granted the rights to producer James L. Brooks’ Gracie Films and Kelly Fremon Craig, who collaborated on “The Edge Of Seventeen,” the coming of age film that starred Hailee Steinfeld."

It's a great book about a girl coming of age who wonders about bras and boys and body changes. If you haven't read it, DO IT RIGHT NOW. Also, I STILL have my original copy somewhere.
