Queen News Round-Up: New Movie Clip, Rami Malek on ‘Kimmel’

In between all of the tributes in honor of Freddie Mercury’s birthday this week, a new clip from the upcoming biopic Bohemian Rhapsody was released that shows just what went into recording the iconic operatic rock track.

Bohemian Rhapsody | "Can You Go a Bit Higher?"

Bohemian Rhapsody is a foot-stomping celebration of Queen, their music and their extraordinary lead singer Freddie Mercury. Freddie defied stereotypes and shattered convention to become one of the most beloved entertainers on the planet. The film traces the meteoric rise of the band through their iconic songs and revolutionary sound.

So...many...Galileos!

Speaking of Bohemian Rhapsody, Rami Malek appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live! this week to talk about portraying the late Mercury, from how he came to be cast as the Queen frontman to the awkward teeth he had to wear in the film to the extremely daunting first day of shooting which recreated Queen’s iconic set at Live Aid.

Rami talks about playing Freddie Mercury in his new film "Bohemian Rhapsody," getting the role, what it took to look like Freddie, pranking one of his cast mates, working with Mike Myers, and reveals what it was like meeting Freddie Mercury's sister.

Last, but not least:  It was announced that the official soundtrack for Bohemian Rhapsody will be coming out October 19 and feature a number of live recordings, including four of the six songs Queen performed at Live Aid.  The album can be pre-ordered at QueenOnlineStore.com, and the track listing is below.
