The Bear Necessities Of Life
This is literally one of the nicest, most thoughtful things anyone has ever done for me. Ever. I was blown away.
I didn’t get to do my ride in this year’s Pan Mass Challenge because, don’t ya know, I got a call from my son at midnight the night before the ride that he and his significant other were at the hospital and were about to become parents to their beautiful little girl.
So, I got up, got dressed and headed to the hospital with my bike on it’s rack on the back of my jeep.
The baby was born at 3:11 Sunday morning.
I left the hospital around 5:30 and called our Marketing Director, Jamie Martel, to let her know that after being up since midnight I wouldn’t be doing the ride for the first time in four years.
She was so excited for my family and mentioned something about doing something with my PMC jersey (the PMC gives you a jersey when you ride).
I thought, “well that would be really cool!” but didn’t think too much about it afterwards.
She came into the studio this week with this.
I about started bawling.
