Great White Shark Jumps Out Of The Water Under Researcher’s Feet!

This is scary to watch. Greg Skomal from the Atlantic White Shark Conservancy was out trying to capture video footage of great white sharks last week off the Cape Cod…

GANSBAAI, SOUTH AFRICA – OCTOBER 19: A Great White Shark is attracted by a lure on the ‘Shark Lady Adventure Tour’ on October 19, 2009 in Gansbaai, South Africa. The lure, usually a tuna head, is attached to a buoy and thrown into the water in front of the cage with the divers. The waters off Gansbaai are the best place in the world to see Great White Sharks, due to the abundance of prey such as seals and penguins which live and breed on Dyer Island, which lies 8km from the mainland. This is scary to watch. Greg Skomal from the Atlantic White Shark Conservancy was out trying to capture video footage of great white sharks last week off the Cape Cod National Sea Shore, when he had a close call with a big set of JAWS!

As he extends a poll with a camera attached into the water, a great white leaps out of the ocean with his jaws open, right below the pulpit on which Skomal is standing. Luckily, the predator didn't get his feet, but I'm sure he'll trade in his black rubber boots for some white ones. Apparently, those boots resemble small seals!

Watch what happens!
