Porcello’s Arm And BAT Lead Red Sox Over The Nats, 4-3!
Rick Porcello is having a great year. He’s 10-3 and contending for the Cy Young award again. Last night, he used his arm and BAT to lead the Red Sox over the Nationals 4-3 in D.C.
Porcello lined a two out, bases loaded double knocking in three runs in the bottom of the second off former teammate and close friend Max Scherzer, to lead the Red Sox to a 4-3 win. Scherzer had walked Jackie Bradley Jr to load the bases just so he could face Porcello. After going down 0-2, Pretty Ricky lined the next pitch, a 96 mile-per-hour fastball, into deep left centerfield, clearing the bases.
