It took 47 years, but the Washington Capitals are finally Stanley Cup champions. They wrapped up the Cup with a win in game five, 4-3, last night in Las Vegas against the Golden Knights!

All Star Alexander Ovechkin was named the winner of the Conn Smythe Trophy as the playoff MVP in his 14th NHL season. The Golden Knights shocked the league by making it to the finals in their inaugural season!
