There was a lot of consternation among Red Sox nation during spring training when the Sox big free agent J.D. Martinez, he of the $110 million contract, didn’t hit even one home run. Well, things have certainly changed.
Martinez blasted his league leading 18th homer, a two run shot in the sixth inning, to power the Red Sox past the Blue Jays, 6-4, last night at Fenway.
