RELAX! History says we don't have much to worry about!
According to the Boston Globe, Boston has only had three snow storms in the month of March totaling more than a foot snow, in a single day, in the last 125 years. There have only been seven snowstorms totaling more than a foot of snow over a two day period in March and later in the last 125 years. The biggest was the April Fools snowstorm in 1997, where Boston got 22.4 inches of snow.
So, take a deep breath. We'll get anywhere from 3-6 inches of snow in the Boston area, with more north and west. Mother Nature and history say the worst is behind us! Parts of Massachusetts got up to 21 inches of snow last year on March 13th and 14th, but most of the heaviest snow was in western MA. Boston only got 6.5 inches.
