Drummer Carl Palmer knew his Asia bandmate John Wetton for over 40 years.

“I knew John for about 43 years,” says Palmer, 67. “We met each other when I was in ELP and he had just taken the position of Greg Lake in King Crimson. I’ve worked with John on and off for years in different environments. We had a band called Qango — we played Asia songs, really, but gave it a different name.

“He was an interesting person – complicated like us all, but a nice guy, very talented, a great writer with an extremely radio-friendly voice, and somebody who I miss deeply.”

Carl did a lovely visual piece of art titled "Heat of the Moment" after the Asia song, in memory of John who we lost last year.  I thought you might like to see it. You can purchase the art work. There are only 50 pieces so definitely a collectible.
