Belichick has never been called cheap, although he can be frugal when working on player contracts. For one New England sculptor, Palmer Murphy of Westerly, Rhode Island, the image of Scrooge in doorknocker form from “A Christmas Carol”, led him to create a bronze door knocker in the likeness of the Patriots’ head coach. Pretty amazing, too!
