I’d like to take this opportunity to (again) state that I think the whole “Rock and Roll Hall of Fame” thing is a joke as many of the artists inducted are not “rock and roll”. So, either change the name (Pop Hall of Fame?) or have more than one “hall of fame” or have a “hall of fame” with different categories.

The polls are closed and all the votes have been tallied, and if fans had their way, the 2018 induction class of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame would look like this:
- Bon Jovi (1,162,098 votes)
- Moody Blues (947,726 votes)
- Dire Straits (613,726 votes)
- The Cars (552,707 votes)
- Judas Priest (538,467 votes)
The Rock Hall released these results this morning, and each artist in the top five above will receive an extra vote in the official induction class vote. Other members of the 2018 nomination class include The J. Geils Band, The MC5, The Meters, Link Wray, the Zombies, Radiohead, Rage Against The Machine, Eurythmics, Kate Bush, Nina Simone, Sister Rosetta Sharpe, Depeche Mode, LL Cool J and Rufus featuring Chaka Khan
The full Class of 2018 induction class will be revealed on Wednesday, December 13 at 7AM.
