Stephen Davis (Hammer of the Gods) has written another biography: Gold Dust Woman: The Biography of Stevie Nicks. The ‘unauthorized‘ biography of Stevie Nicks.

I stumbled on this review of the book (now in stores). I haven’t read the book and after reading this well written review I probably won’t.

I’ll likely just keep reading her interviews, old and new and hope she eventually tells her own story in her own words…even though when I talked with Stevie a few years ago and asked her if she’d ever write her autobiography, she said this:

The Enduring Power of Stevie Nicks

A shawl is a self-selected aura; a shawl is makeshift set of wings. Stevie Nicks owns hundreds if not thousands of them at this point, and sometimes in concert she changes them depending on the mood of the song: a ruby-beaded one to conjure "Gold Dust Woman," a playful polka-dot one for the new-wavey "Stand Back," a black mourning cape to set the tone of "Silver Springs."
