NEW YORK, NY - APRIL 07: Presenter David Letterman speaks onstage at the 32nd Annual Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame Induction Ceremony at Barclays Center on April 7, 2017 in New York City. The event will broadcast on HBO Saturday, April 29, 2017 at 8:00 pm ET/PT

For David Letterman fans missing the iconic late night host, 2018 is going to be awesome.

Per Netflix, Letterman will be heading to the streaming giant next year for a six-episode series that will focus around “in-depth conversations with extraordinary people and in-the-field segments expressing his curiosity and humor.”  The episodes will be an hour-long and feature a long-form interview with one guest and various pieces outside the confines of a studio.

Letterman released a statement about the upcoming show that is simply classic Letterman:

“I feel excited and lucky to be working on this project for Netflix. Here’s what I have learned, if you retire to spend more time with your family, check with your family first. Thanks for watching, drive safely.”

So…who’s excited for the new Letterman show?  Do you plan on watching?  Let us know how you feel in the comments!
