I remember exactly where I was 21 years ago today: WINCHESTER HOSPITAL!

My wife Pam had been admitted the day before, June 25th, on our second wedding anniversary. We were having a baby!

Little Abigail Jane came into the world at 5 pounds, 6 ounces, 19 days early, by way of an emergency cesarian section! Oh My God was she small!

So little Abbey started to grow and loved Arthur on PBS, mixing potions, sparkly sneakers and grilled cheese sandwiches. Then she loved her Ipod, tomagotchis, Uggs, The North Face jacket and then her IPhone.

She went to proms, got her first job, wrote a book, painted spectacular artwork, won a Boston Globe writing award, met her first boyfriend and learned more about history than I ever have!

Today, my first born baby girl turns 21. She loves politics, history, cooking, painting, laughing and children! In fact, Abbey and her boyfriend Ryan are expecting their own baby boy this October 9th! They and we are so excited!!!

It’s hard to believe, but my first born baby girl is grown up! My wife Pam and I are so proud of her and love her so much!!!! She is everything we hoped she’d be and more!

Happy 21st birthday, Abbey
