As expected once he began announcing home town shows in the Detroit area, Bob Seger has unveiled a full-scale tour for late summer and early fall.

The 24-date Runaway Train Tour gets under way on August 24 in Toledo, Ohio, and currently has shows announced through October 28 in Phoenix. The tour announcement promises "additional cities" will be revealed as well.

Seger fan club pre-sales for many of the concerts begin June 6, with public on-sales starting June 9.

These will be Seger and the Silver Bullets' first live dates since finishing the Ride Out Tour on March 30, 2015 in Indianapolis, and Seger tells us he's very happy with the current lineup of the Silver Bullet Band:

"Well, y'know, everybody's just on board. They just, everybody's so committed. They always are. They show up ready to play, and it's wonderful."

Seger has been recording new material in Nashville but it's not known if any of it will be released prior to or during the tour. More information and updates can be found at BobSeger.com.
