Happy Birthday, Lou Gramm

Lou Gramm, former lead singer of Foreigner turns 65 today, however, if Lou could give us a present, it would be for him to tour with Foreigner one more time.

Gramm parted ways with the band in early 2003, but after a decade, Gramm reunited with Foreigner guitarist and co-songwriter Mick Jones during their induction ceremony into the Songwriters Hall of Fame. Not only did they perform “Juke Box Hero” and “I Want to Know What Love Is,” but they were inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame by Billy Joel.

Since then, reunion rumors have flown, but the two reportedly have worked on material together.

Jones stated in an exclusive interview with Ultimate Classic Rock that he and Gramm “want to delve back into some of the ideas that we both knew we had.  Then there’s this little trove of goodies that Lou’s got that I haven’t heard.”

While this new material isn’t meant for a new Foreigner album, who knows what will come of this collaboration? Stranger things have happened in rock and roll!
