I told you the other women took more pictures than I did! These are from team leader Shannon. She got some great shots!
Say hi to one of our three fearless team leaders, entrusted to keep us alive! This is Shannon!
These are our virtual hikers. They couldn't physically make the trip but they were there in spirit!
Off we go! That's me way up near the front of the pack with the pink sleeves.
This is pretty easy!
This is pretty easy too.
An example of what we saw on our adventure.
Another example of some of the terrain.
This was fun to navigate. These roots were pretty to look at but could be slippery!
These two were hilarious! Val and Sam. Sam is originally from Maine and Val is an INCREDIBLE cook! I noticed day one they were having calzone for lunch. I asked what kind. She said spinach, pepperoni and cheese WITH GARLIC ON TOP OF THE DOUGH! Naturally I made it as soon as I got home!!!
See! Delish!! And I pestered her for the remainder of the weekend for more recipes.
You have to unbuckle your pack when you come to a water crossing in case you get swept downstream. Probably not likely with this one though.
Going up! Excuse my backside.
Morning at the falls. I love the lighting in this one.
Looking up the falls. Maura and Kathy (on the right) holding court. This had to be Friday b'cause Friday was chilly and they both have jackets on!
View from Zealand Falls.
Another view from Zealand.
This should be a postcard.
Four of us summited Mount Hale. There was no view...but there was this tree.
And these rocks. (we were told they were 'magnetic' by a couple hikers who were descending. I believed them.)
Getting ready to head down the mountain, having a sip of water.
We stopped along the way to frolic in the water one more time. It was awesome.
