Gary Oldman FINALLY Wins An Award In Hollywood

This has always been something that has baffled me for years.

Gary Oldman, who just might be one of the best actors ever, somehow has never gotten an Oscar, Golden Globe, Emmy, whatever. It's shocking, especially with his dynamic characters like Stansfield in 'Leon: The Professional,' 'The Fifth Element's' Jean-Baptiste Emanuel Zorg, Ivan Korhunov in 'Air Force One,' and of course, his fandom roles, Sirius Black from Harry Potter and Comissioner James Gordon in Batman's 'Dark Knight' and 'Dark Knight Rises' (fandom movies never win anything, seriously).

Though last night was a night for the women, it was great to see Gary Oldman finally get recognized in a Hollywood based film, for his portrayal of Winston Churchill in 'Darkest Hour.'

Up until this point, he had only won smaller awards and awards from Britain, so it's only fitting now that we start pulling for him to win that Oscar as well.

Fingers crossed, we'd love to see Gary get the recognition he truly deserves.
