WATCH: Billy Joel On ‘Colbert’

Stephen Colbert fanned out big time last night on CBS’ The Late Show thanks to guest Billy Joel.

From singing directly to The Piano Man to asking about watching The Ed Sullivan Show, Colbert covered a wide range of topics in his sit-down with Joel, including closing down Shea Stadium with the help of Paul McCartney.

Stephen greets music superstar and hometown hero Billy Joel by singing him a medley of every Billy Joel song he knows.

Probably one of the most fascinating parts of the interview was when Joel was asked what he thought his “Top 5” songs were.  A couple of hits were included, but the list was primarily album cuts.

Who better than the Piano Man himself to pick the Top 5 Billy Joel songs of all time? Hint: 'Vienna' is number five.

Of course, what would a Billy Joel visit be without a performance?  Joel then brought the house down with “Miami 2017 (Seen The Lights Go Out On Broadway)” with the help of house band Jon Batiste and Stay Human.
