Rock n' roll baby. I dig it.
Zeppelin drummer John Bonham's (RIP) son, Jason, is touring with his Led Zeppelin Experience. I caught the show awhile back at the Wilbur Theater, front row balcony. The person behind me thought it was a good idea to tell me to sit down during the show. I ignored said person who then took it upon themselves to grab my shoulder in an attempt to sit me down. Lucky for them it was not the 1975 version of Julie as that would most certainly have resulted in an "incident" that would have gotten us both thrown out of the venue.
I love Led Zeppelin. All the way back to high school. When the first Zeppelin album came out. (yes, I realize that's not a complete sentence...though it is a complete thought)
Today is guitarist Jimmy Page's seventy-third birthday. I've finally accepted I'll never see Led Zeppelin. But thank god for cover bands.
You can win tickets to see Jason Bonham's Led Zeppelin Experience with Foreigner and Cheap Trick (Blue Hills Pavilion July 17th) all this week between 10 and 2.
In the meantime, shall we?
