Here's My "Walk Up" Song. What's Yours? - Julie Devereaux

A bunch of us went to a Sox game awhile back. We got to talking about "walk up" songs and I was asked what song I'd like to have as my "walk up" song. I couldn't decide. There were just too many to pick just one.

But today...it came to me. The song was released on this day in 1962. And I don't think there's a song with a cooler groove. The song's riff was reportedly inspired by the saunter of a cat. But of course.

And did I tell you I once got to ride in a golf cart with guitarist Steve Cropper? Yea. It happened. Unfrickenbelievable.
