Eddie Vedder Teaming Up With Beyonce?

NOTE: This Doobie's cover below is not the first cover announcement that Eddie Vedder released today. He announced that he's doing a BEYONCE cover with her by the end of the year. I made the crack on the air: "after this, what next?  They team up to run the Whitehouse? She already sings "To The Left To The Left."

An unexpected Doobie Brothers cover, The Edge and a very funny Styx cover make up the May 2nd edition of "Liner Notes."

Pearl Jam Covers The Doobie Brothers

If you’re Eddie Vedder’s friend, he’ll likely play any song for your birthday, or at least that was the case at a recent Pearl Jam show at Madison Square Garden, where the grunge band performed The Doobie Brothers classic “Takin’ It To The Streets.”  Eddie doesn’t do a half bad job, but he’s certainly no Michael McDonald.

ICYMI: Jimmy Fallon and Paul Rudd’s Remake Of Styx Video

Lastly, there’s this gem from Friday’s episode of The Tonight Show, which saw Jimmy Fallon and Paul Rudd recreate Styx’s video for “Too Much Time On My Hands” frame for frame.  It’s truly glorious.
