The members of Aerosmith have gone their separate ways since wrapping the summer's Blue Army Tour on Friday (August 7) in Canton, Ohio. Guitarist Joe Perry tells us that group will reconvene during early 2016 for some touring, and again in the summer. But how about some new music?
Perry says that,
"Well, there's talk about it, but we've all got different projects going on on the side, and...We've been at it for a long time and there's things I want to do. I know Steven's doing a solo record...I don't think that there's gonna be room in there for any kind of, like, full-blown studio album. But these days a lot of that doesn't matter; you can go out and record, you can record in a hotel room for chrissakes and throw it online and there you go, there's some new material. So I don't know."
Aerosmith's last studio album, Music From Another Dimension!, came out during November of 2012. While frontman Steven Tyler finishes his country solo album, Perry will be joining the Hollywood Vampires all-star collective for three shows during September while fellow guitarist Brad Whitford will be working again with Ted Nugent band singer Derek St. Holmes.
